| Journey of the Featherless by Cloud Cult
Got myself a mission
I'm going to find heaven
I made crepe paper wings
I think they'll carry me a while
I left you a love poem
The best I have written
My favorite words
Were the ones I couldn't spell
They say that I'm a lunatic
They say that I am full of it
I say that it's worth dreaming
Just for the dream of it
It's all about passion
It's all about perception
Don't call me on my cell phone
'Cause there ain't no reception
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
I think I'm growing feathers
But I'm not quite sure of it
'Cause I started getting dizzy
About a Hundred feet up
I made friends with the clouds
I made friends with the birds
If you ask a goose a question
He never shuts up
And honestly I miss you
And I hope that you're missing me
Cause I could use your lips on me
And a little bit of Dramamine
For the moment I can see
Way better than I've ever seen
Don't sell my stuff on eBay
Cause I might need it back before I'm gone
Before I'm gone
I'm not the kind of man
Who's into looking downward
I've drank my share of pity
From the bartender's cup
So many people
Wondering "What's the right direction?"
As far as I'm concerned
There's only one way up
And my fingers, they are blisters
And my eyes, they are bullet holes
But my hearts still beating
Guess I'm pretty lucky
Pretty lucky
Pretty lucky
(When I'm gone)
Pretty lucky
(When I'm gone)
Pretty lucky
(When I'm gone)
Pretty lucky
(When I'm gone)

| In the past two days I finished re-reading His Dark Materials. As with most books I like, they inspired me to read and research other topics. Even though it is Saturday, I went to the library and checked out three books and have spent the day reading through the first of them. They are: History of Ancient Religions, The Oxford Guide to Mythology, and The History of Religion in Britain. To make myself feel even more pretentious, I bought wine and cheese and proceeded to drink and eat and read until I was too drowsy to continue. Wooo!! What a day. I am truly fascinated by the books I checked out though. I love reading about religion and theology. I need to start going to church again, though who knows when that will happen.
In other news, I received a call from an old friend who lives in NYC tonight, which made me so very happy. He said he could help me find a job if I ever want to move there (which I do so huzzah!) and then we caught up and chatted and it made me miss him a great deal. My days in Arizona are numbered unless something magical happens. Those numbers may be higher than I'd like, but numbered nonetheless.
I remember having a conversation with a friend about falling in love with the idea of someone. I think I've done that. It's no good. See, the problem is, you fall in love with an idea, and for all you know the idea is completely false, but it has a face and a memory so it could end up being the most real lie you'll ever know. And you are in love with it. I'm at a loss as to what to do about it. All I know is that I feel it in my heart, in my legs, in my head, everywhere as if it were real and right in front of me, only I can't see it or touch it or satisfy it. Blarg.
I downloaded music today (shock!), a band called Tapes 'n Tapes. I like them. I discovered them through my Man Man station on pandora. That may be the best station I've created so far. It plays Spoon, Peter Bjorn and John, Sufjan Stevens, Tapes 'n Tapes, White Rabbits, Modest Mouse, etc. Great stuff to be sure. I miss having people to share good music with though. Bitty indulges me, but it's not the same cause she's not passionate about it like I am. Hopefully I'll find someone soon who connects with me. That would be bitchin'. Bitchin'.

| I have just returned from Coachella and am still high from the experience. Here is who I saw:
Friday
John Butler Trio Architecture in Helsinki The Breeders Vampire Weekend Tegan and Sara The National Goldfrapp The Ranconteurs The Verve Spank Rock Fatboy Slim
Saturday
The Bird and the Bee Man Man Devotchka Cold War Kids St. Vincent Death Cab for Cutie Rilo Kiley M.I.A. Portishead Prince !!!!
Sunday
Brett Dennen Grand Ole Party I'm From Barcelona Gogol Bordello Metric My Morning Jacket Roger Waters Justice
I'm exhausted, but happily so. Some of my favorite performances were Prince (naturally he is FUCKING AWESOME and I'm in love and I rocked out to Drive Me Crazay, his last song. He also covered Santana, Radiohead, and the Beatles!), Gogol Bordello (gypsy punk, and a completely energetic show that I would recommend anyone seeing), Man Man (the most fun I've seen on stage. Those guys are amazing), Goldfrapp, Fatboy Slim, The Bird and the Bee (girl in that is so cute I wanted to take her home with me), Justice (amazing lights and they have inspired my career path). Seeing Cold War Kids was so great cause I love them and even though The Breeders show was not epic, it was sooooo cool seeing them perform live. I wish I had seen more of Rilo Kiley, but I left early for M.I.A. who was surprisingly disappointing. I would actually say M.I.A. was the most disappointing show of the weekend. She didn't sing some of her own songs, she bitched about the lights which wasted time so she only performed very few songs, and the space they allotted her was too small so it was packed and tight and people were being fucktards. It was just no good. I could go on and on, but I'm still recovering and just wanted to brush over some high lights. Much love to you all!!

| I am seriously considering working my ass off to pay off all my debt, buying a VW van, selling everything, and living out of my van and travel around working odd jobs to pay for food and gas. I don't need much, just the ability to pick up and go.
